POSITION SUMMARY:

Holocaust Education Ireland seeks to appoint a full-time Administrator
to assist in the general administration of its busy office.

Holocaust Education Ireland is a small, vibrant, independent
non-profit organisation that promotes Holocaust education, awareness
and remembrance throughout the island of Ireland. Programmes for
schools, teachers and the general public range from small bespoke
courses, to large public events such as the Holocaust Memorial Day
commemoration.

The successful candidate will be expected to assist the Board and work
closely with the administrative staff in co-ordinating the
administration of the office and all of the activities undertaken by
the organisation. The importance of continuous professional
development within the role should be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Carry out comprehensive secretarial and administrative duties to
ensure the smooth running of the Holocaust Education Ireland office.
These include dealing with email and telephone enquiries, taking
minutes, and arranging appointments and meetings.
* Work alongside the Senior Administrator to administer Holocaust
Education Ireland?s education and outreach programmes.
* Assist in the co-ordination of the national Holocaust Memorial Day
commemoration.
* Assist in the coordination and administration of The Crocus
Project.
* Collaborate with external stakeholders on long-term projects and
events.
* Administration and management of records and databases. Including
filing and updating records in the office and on Dropbox.
* Social media and website management. Updating the website,
Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.
* Keep expenditure records, ensuring the office maintains good
bookkeeping standards.
* Compliance with GDPR.
* Prepared to undertake professional training when appropriate.
* Prepared to attend meetings and seminars when appropriate.
* Prepared to undertake other duties as appropriate.
* As many of Holocaust Education Ireland?s programmes and events
take place at weekends or in the evenings, a flexible approach to
organising these is appreciated, taking time off in lieu when they
occur.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

* Third-level qualification.
* Understanding of the history of the Holocaust is an advantage but
not essential.
* Excellent IT skills particularly in Excel and other MS office
tools.
* Social media management experience.
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and
oral.
* Organised and analytical approach to tasks.
* Flexible and adaptable.
